Captain Marvel Brie Larson Has Some Shocking Demands to Return for ‘Avengers 5’. Brie Larson is looking to score a new contract for the Avengers 5. The actress, who plays Carol Danvers aka Captain Marvel in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, demands that the studio pay her the same pay as her male counterparts. Miracle has not commented on the contract rumours, but given Larson’s status in the MCU, they can hardly tell him. Here’s a look at Larson’s shocking demands for Avengers 5 to return as Captain Miracle.
Brie Larson is the future of MCU
Marvel is entering a new chapter in the MCU following events in Avengers: Endgame. The universe was the end of the line for some of the studio’s major players including the changing international Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.), Captain America (Chris Evans), Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), and Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson).
While many introductions of the characters are set to stage 4 for Kevin Feige and his team, and some of the new faces will undoubtedly fill the ranks for Avengers 5.
One of Marvel’s most successful franchises going forward is Captain Marvel, which made over a billion dollars at the box office. The studio is already moving forward with a sequel, which should be out in time for Phase 5.
Marvel has not announced when the next Avengers will be released, but it will likely be after Larsen’s second standalone film. With this in mind, Larsen’s Captain Marvel will likely become an essential leader in Avengers 5, which is why the actress is reportedly seen negotiating a new contract.
Will Marvel give Larson equal pay?
We have asked Miracle for a significant pay bump for Larsen Avengers 5, according to this cover. We don’t know how much Larson is requesting to return as Captain Marvel, but this is probably closer to the core cast created for the endgame.
Evans, Johansson, Ruffalo and Rainer made nearly $ 15 million each to star in the endgame. This was a significant increase from what Downey Jr. made for the 2008 Iron Man, which was a paltry $ 500,000.
But just because Larson wants a higher salary does not mean he is going to get it. Sources inside claim that Marvel intends to pay Tom Holland Top Dollar, as they see Spider-Man as the new leader of the team, not Captain Marvel.
That may change in the coming years, and Larsen and Holland may get on a level of equalization by the time the next Avengers rolls around.
When will we get ‘Avengers 5’?
While Larson negotiates a new contract to return as Captain Miracle, fans know when Miracle plans on releasing Avengers 5 are keen.
The studio last summer announced all of the upcoming titles for the next two years. The Avengers 5 was not in the mix though. This puts the project on the back burner for the moment, with a release date sometime after 2021.
Although Marvel has other projects in the pipeline, Feige has recently waged that a new group of superheroes will make the next chapter in the Avengers franchise.
“This would be a very different team than we’ve seen before […] with some people you’ve already met and some people you haven’t met yet,” Feige shared.
The good news is that Marvel is finally going to release another Avengers film. After Avengers: Endgame grossed over $ 2,000,000,000 at the box office, the studio would not go crazy.
Who will make the next Avengers?
The big question, of course, is which superheroes will be portrayed in Avengers 5 alongside Captain Marvel. There were a few potential candidates, most of whom would be making their MCU debut in the next two years.
The first hero on this list is Shang Chi, who will appear for the first time in Shang Chi and The Legend of the Ten Rings in 2019. Shang Chi has been a member of the Avengers in the comics, so it makes sense that Marvel could include him in the next international.
Other characters that have appeared on the team include Blade and Kate Bishop’s Hawkeye. The Doctor is abuzz as Thor (Chris Hemsworth) is still a part of the MCU.
As far as eternal is concerned, they are not usually part of the mighty heroes of the earth. However, they do help him from time to time and can undoubtedly appear in Avengers 5, as did the heroes from the Guardians of the Galaxy in the endgame.
Captain Marvel 2 is currently in pre-production and is scheduled to premiere in 2022.
