“Can there be two iron fists in real there?” This miracle is the question in every fan’s mind after watching the end of season 2 of the infamous martial arts action drama Iron Fist as the show ended on a stupefying note when we see Danny Rand [Finn Jones] re-cast his iron fist powers again Seen and the weapon he wields a groove for them. The end is white knuckle viewers who now eagerly wait for season 3. But the real question is, do we have another season?
A Bummer for All who were waiting for Iron Fist Season 3!
The Netflix-Marvel tie had always been fragile due to non-negotiable terms between the owners. Alas! Iron Fist also became a victim of this as Netflix canceled the series after two seasons on October 12, 2018, disappointing all the viewers.
Reporters for Netflix and Marvel told the Hollywood Reporter in a statement:
Marvel’s Movie will not return for a third season on Netflix. [….] While the series on Netflix has ended, the Immortal Iron Fist will live on.
Its as unfortunate as it seems that when the show was finally revamping after a devastating season 1, the makers decided to halt the production. The fans have been stuck in the mystery of the Iron Fist ever since the second season started streaming on Netflix from September 7, 2018.
What is a Mystery?
Season 2 kicked off with a chilly start as the first half of the season was not any better than season 1, which also did not receive much appreciation. Surprisingly, the second half of the season acquired pace as we saw multiple thrilling events occurring perpetually.
The male lead of the show, Danny Rand, renounced his position as the Iron Fist and asked Colleen Wing [Jessica Henwick] to be the new Iron Fist. Colleen has supernatural abilities to channel her powers of Iron Fist (Chi) through any weapon she wields.
Eventually, Danny, who on a quest is now aware that he is qualified for an iron fist, hears about [Orson’s mongrel] in Japan with Tom [Tom Pelphrey]. Orson was about to buy an iron fist corpse to Davos [Sacha Dhawan], the main antagonist of the show. Months later, when Danny uses the guns which he steals from Orson, he regains his iron fist powers and discovers that he too can channel his energies through weapons.
With this, the fans have been searching for answers to the mystery about the existence of two Iron Fists at the very same time. Netflix, on the other hand, does not seem to be interested in these fans as even after two years, no news of another season has popped up.
