Brave Stacey Solomon breaks in by acknowledging that she is struggling to breastfeed Rex on today’s loose women.
The mother-of-three, who welcomed Baby Rex with partner Joe Swash last year, admitted that she used to breastfeed ‘romantic’ while pregnant.
The emotional Stacey said that Rex was a healthy junk, but ended up losing a whole pound and actually shortened.
Stacey did not feel pushed by society for breastfeeding but admitted that she pressured herself during a difficult time with her newborn baby.
She said: “When I couldn’t, I got myself into an emotional, hormonal ruck not being able to let it go. I didn’t want to let it go.
“She was also really quite young. She ended up losing almost a whole pound; she was really short.
“Now looking back, I feel almost ruthless that I am done trying. You think so, ‘I could have just given him a bottle’.”
As Stacey breaks down in tears, she is comforted by the caretaker loose female panellist.
Nadia Sawalha said: “Stacey don’t say those words to yourself. You were trying to do what’s best.
Christine Lampard added: “The women at home are going through what you told me.”
Stacey admitted that breastfeeding is seen as such a “warm and positive light” as she pressured herself during her experience.
She said: “I thought it was an enjoyable experience during my pregnancy.
“Couldn’t do it. I really wanted to do it, and I just felt like if I was going lazy or I couldn’t take the pain.
“You just start thinking, ‘This is what my body has to do, why don’t I just push through and do this? I thought I was bad at the job.’
