In the lead up to an explosive Christmas Day, EastEnders viewers are wondering whether or not Lewis Mitchell (played by Tilly Keeper) is ever going to find out about his fiancee Keanu Taylor’s affair with his stepmother Sharon Mitchell (Letitia Dean). The actress, who plays the young mother, has talked about what is in store for fans and how her character comes to find out about Walford’s dirtiest secret.
Lewis is not currently aware of Keanu’s kicking off with Sharon, but in upcoming scenes, the pieces will start falling into place.
This will be Lewis’s first Christmas with Baby Peggy, and while he is looking forward to making memories, his world is falling apart when Sharon and Keanu’s secret is revealed.
But what home watchers wouldn’t expect is that Lewis is going to play an integral role in the deaths of Keanu and Sharon.
Speaking to Express.co.uk and other media, Tilley reported: “He was a secret blackmailer last summer, and that’s kind of what he suspected.
“But I think that as we’ve seen these many years of Louise going on screen, she’s quite dumb blond and quick to forget — not quite in the end, but she doubts it.
“I think — going back, Lisa Lewis is such an essential part of life, and has been such a necessary part of this story, and especially when she finds out and you know, Louise is her mother largely Doubt up to a point.
“Phil and Ben [then] approached Lewis and eventually ask him if they think if he thinks anything is going on,” he continued.
“And it just kind of drives that memory and whether he shouldn’t deny it anymore.
“And it all starts to add up, and you’ll see that during Christmas Eve, all the puzzle [pieces] come together.”
As for whether or not there is a future for Lewis and Keanu, Tilly added: “I think that’s part of the Mitchell family that’s going to like we say if you talk about Michelle on a larger scale Hai, there will be consequences and Lewis is acutely aware of that.
“And you know, she’s only 18. And she’s entirely in love with Keanu. And she doesn’t want this betrayal to come true.
“She doesn’t want it to happen in her life. So she’s worried,” he said.
Discussing what it was like to be part of such a big story that no doubt will be iconic, Tilly revealed: “This is the first time I’ve taken a line in a Christmas episode besides being on karaoke. So let me speak. Thanks a lot!
“No, [I] chuffed. I mean, everybody [EastEnders [] has a Christmas story, and I finally got to do it.”
“And I got into it B * * * H whichever is better!” he said that.
As for what it was like to film the upcoming scenes, Tilly said: “Working with Danny [Walter] Handsome. He’s gentlemen, and I think we like working together very well.
“And it was great. I was just really excited about the scripts and Hum Toby, who is a fantastic director helpful.
“But I have to say that when we did that big scene for Toby, the last thing was just before we could act [Letitia Dean] ‘Tish and Steve [McFadden] did it in a take.’ I was’ like, ‘That’s not going to happen.
Elsewhere in the square, there is a chance Whitney Dean (Shona McGarty) is in danger.
