Mrs. Brown’s Boys star Brendan O’Carroll ‘ one month away from heart failure’ but saved by miracle chat show appearance: Mrs. Brown’s Boys star Brendan O’Carroll opened up about escaping death thanks to an appearance on Ireland’s late, late show during today’s Lorraine.
The surgeon found an artery that was blocked ९९ percent when the comedian initially sought to consult about his feet after the 6-year-old was just weeks away from heart failure.
Brendan was speaking at a press conference to celebrate the first year of Mrs. Brown’s boys FAI heart care program, which aims to deal with sudden death syndrome, back in 2014, where she was introduced to FAI medical doctor Alan Byrne.
After failing to get an appointment in Florida where Brendan now lives with his wife Jennifer Gibney, Byrne managed to pull some strings and get the actor in for an investigation on Friday.
Brendan insisted that he was reluctant to jump the queue, but after several trials, it should soon be taken immediately for explicit action and placed under Brendan.
‘It was like something out of the ER, where he walks in with the mask, and his next words are going to be, “We did everything we could,” Jennifer recalled to the host.
Brendan revealed to the surgeon, who looked like he was 12, confirmed the father of four was just a month away from a potentially fatal heart attack.
However, he later realized to the surgeon that Brendan’s legs had a much larger underlying problem than peripheral artery disease because the star appeared on the show late.
Brendan recounted, ‘He said that I was gasping for my breath [late, late showing up] and then two weeks after the surgery I realized how tired I was.
Thankfully, Brendan was fighting fit back and did anything but slow down since. And following the tradition, Mrs. Brown’s boys will return with a Christmas special tipped to become one of the most-watched programs of December 25, followed by Gein-Stacey.
However, the comic actually thinks that both sitcoms will be pipped to post by Her Majesty.
‘This is a perfect chance Gayine and Stacey will pull a much larger audience, but this year, but I think [the most rated program] will be Queen’s speech. This is going to be the most important Queen’s speech ever.
