Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt have been shooting for Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra for quite some time. The bulk of the film is being shot in Varanasi, and pictures of the pair shooting there surfaced online some time ago. Now another video of Ranbir and Alia shooting for a song has gone viral.
The clip shows the two actors matching steps as they dance to a slow yet functional number between a colorful background. A team of dancers is also with them.
While Ranbir is seen wearing a camouflage jacket paired with a green tee and jeans, Alia added a dash of color to her bright red kaftan jacket, which she paired with a white top and jeans.
Fans went crazy after Ranbir and Alia landed in Varanasi. Some Lucky Kids also managed to get autographs from Ranbir and Alia as they made their way back from the set to their hotel.
In the film, Ranbir allegedly plays a DJ who leaves home against his father’s wishes and discovers that he has superpowers along the way. Director Ayan Mukherjee revealed that his character’s name was initially meant to be Rumi but was later changed to Shiva.
Brahmastra was initially scheduled to release on Christmas this year but has been postponed to summer 2020. According to Ayan Mukherjee, the reason for the change in dates was because the VFX team needed more time to work on the film. He announced this news on Instagram and wrote, “Brahmastra is a dream that started for me in 2011, and since the release of Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani in 2013, I have been actively pursuing it. This dream is about making a film that our country is something that is genuinely new and amazing and provides the next level, always in terms of story, characters, and emotions, but also in terms of visual and visual effects.
