Team Saaho unveiled its much-awaited trailer on Saturday evening which immediately went viral on social media. Written and directed by Sujith, the film is directed by Prabhas and Shraddha Kapoor and will be released simultaneously on August 30 in Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam, and Tamil.
For the trailer launch, the unit has unveiled posters of some of its lead supporting actors – Neil Nitin Mukesh, Jackie Shroff, Chunky Pandey, Vennela Kishore, and Arun Vijay. Saaho also stars Mahesh Manjrekar, Murali Sharma and Mandira Bedi.
The trailer gives a brief outline of the plot – a Rs 2000-crore robbery in Mumbai, which leaves the administration and police red-faced. A secret officer has left the task of locating the criminals.
Apart from this, Shraddha Kapoor from Crime Branch is also in the field as Amrita Nair. The action moves to a city controlled by a dangerous criminal where a locker is to be opened, which could make someone a billionaire.
The trailer has everything Prabhas’s fans were expecting from him – high-on-action sequences, cutting-edge visual effects, and engaging dialogue. Watch out for Prabhas talking about what it takes to set the stakes high, compared to hitting sixers from a cricket stadium as opposed to doing it from a street cricket match.
Saaho was previously expected to be released on August 15, but it was postponed to August 30 with the producers wanting to ensure a higher standard of visual effects.
Ss After Rajamouli’s Bahubali series, Saaho is the most ambitious project of Telugu cinema. The team hopes Prabhas’ popularity will attract the attention of an all-India audience and the bank.
Saho’s cinematography is by Madi and production design by Sabu Cyril, background score by Ghibran. Shrikar Prasad edits this R.C. Surveillance by Kamalakannan with visual effects, and the action directors on the board are Kenny Bates, Peng Zhang, Dhilip Subbarayan, Stunt Shiva, Bob Brown, and Ram-Laxman.
