Christine, 41, Lorraine Kelly, stands for 40, taking a break from her half-term as the host for this week’s installment of the ITV chat show. Loose lady’s favorite is known for playing straight hair when she is on screen. However, she decided to spice things up today, and the audience could not get enough of her transformation.
For the first time in 25 years, Christine introduced her on television with her natural, curly hair to create a green jumper and broad leg trouser look.
Attached to fashionistas Mark Heyes, 43, the host was stunned when his colleague said: “I heard the big chat today would be his fabulous hair.”
“I’m going crazy with this, ‘he decreed, as the presenter pointed out:” You know it’s my natural — because I’m naturally really curly — it’s my natural hair.
“It hasn’t seen the light of day for 25 years, and this morning, it was an outing,” he told the audience, who quickly took to social media as they were sent into recession.
Taking to Twitter, one viewer wrote: “Christine looked so beautiful today with her curly hair! She always looks stunning, but I fell in love with her natural hair today [sic].
Another added: “@lorraine, please can you tell Christine Lampard that her natural hair is fantastic. Leave it like [sic] more often.
While a third commented: “Morning Christine, I want to say I love my hair, and you’re the image of a Minnie driver in a friend’s circle. Have a great day pet [sic].”
“Gorgeous hair. You look amazing. Loved your outfit on Lorraine today, especially the green jumper,” a fourth opinion.
The loose female panelist took to Instagram after today’s show and praised her embrace of her natural locks for the day.
Keeping in mind her 6,000 followers, she posted a collage of images of her sporting hair and a short video of her showing her new look backstage.
Christine wrote with the photos — so I embraced my natural curls today. It has not seen the light of day for many years.
“Straighteners changed my life as a teenager, but here I am revealing the real #naturalcurls to me @lorraine @cilerpeksah_hairstylist #curlyhair #curlyhair.”
Yesterday’s show featured Christine keeping her regular blow-dried locks, along with a polka dot jumpsuit.
Then, it caught the attention of fans who commented on the chic look when she shared her fashion choice on Instagram.
One wrote in response: “You are always looking as beautiful as X.”
Her appearance regularly catches the eye of the audience, and Christine talked about her style in an interview with ITV.
The presenter said: “I like the relatively simple cut fabric. I would much rather shine than go for a classic.
“I have covered my legs and covered parts of the arms to feel more comfortable.
“I dress how I feel.”
For the rest of the week, Christine will fill in for Lorraine before the host returns for her role on Monday.
