David Ayer reveals his unused Parademons design for the Suicide Squad and is quite different from what’s in the league. Released in 2014, the film gathered some of DC’s most prominent villains and sent them out on a mission to save the world. While a box office success, earning $ 7,600,000 worldwide against a budget of just $ 185,000,000, it was not received by the public the way Warner Bros. wanted it.
In addition to the excitement for the events of Batman V Superman: Dawn of the Day where some perceived the Man of Steel as a threat to Earth, as well as the Batman flashback scene, the story of the suicide squad stood on its own. It focused on a new crop of characters going on their missions. It was unclear how it was better to connect to the larger DCEU world which was which Warner Bros. main plan was at that point. However, brand new information suggests that Paraxaras should have made Ayer’s debut in the film before making an appearance in Jack Snyder’s Justice League next year.
A fan asked Ayer on Twitter whether the images he received for the suicide squad were supposed to be magic ‘(Kara Delevingne) henchmen. The filmmaker promptly rejected this notion, answering this question. Instead, he shared that they were concept art for his Parademons. Ayer also unveiled a new image of the 3D printed imitation of its version which gives fans a better look at the intricate design of the character. Check your tweet below:
Thanking the director for his clarification, fans commented on the thread, most of them digging out Ayer’s finished Parademons design. The new suicide squad tidbit also prompted some of them to express their longing for the original DCEU. Following the financial disappointment of the Canyon League, the move to replace Snyder in conjunction with behind-the-scenes drama including Joss Whedon, there is a noticeable change in the Warner Bros. superhero franchise. Projects such as the Justice League and the Suicide Squad sequel have either been cancelled altogether or have changed drastically. So while there is a new suicide squad coming up in 2019 with some of the actors from the original film, it is not going to be a direct sequel.
Of course, Ayer Paredemon’s design is quite different from what was in the league. It is more complex and less mechanical looking. It is also fair, more terrible. Last month, the filmmaker already revealed that his suicide squad featured almost a boom tube, with Enchantress supposedly near a mother box. It would have directly tied the two films together and helped solidify Warner Bros.’s DCEU interconnectivity. Ayer did not mention Parademons appearing in the villain-centric movie, but it is safe to assume that his involvement would also have something to do with this particular narrative thread.
