Prince Harry vowed to ‘Stop the Crown’ before the Netflix series cover his life: Angela joined Crown’s historian advisor Robert Lacey on BBC Breakfast to discuss Prince Harry’s speech when he spoke about what he thought of the Netflix series. Despite revealing Prince Harry isn’t keen on the feature, Robert jokingly would be happy if he did consult on the show.
Host Dan Walker began: “An additional one is expected that you won’t disagree on this either.”
“I know Robert you work as an advisor on the Crown, you probably can’t tell us too much, but it’s undoubtedly that this future series like the TV series will not be a new watch it Makes for? “
Robert replied, “Well, we’ll have to see.” I’m only a historical advisor to the Crown; I don’t write this.
“If they want me for advice on this and I’m sure they also want their [Angela] advice on this, then we’ll see what we can do.”
“But, I do not know whether the crown holds in the shop in that regard.”
“Well Harry, when I went to interview him in the palace, the first thing he said to me was when he shook my hand ‘You see the crown?'” Angela recalled.
“And I went on time, and I felt so embarrassed.
“I got up, and he said, ‘I’m sure they are going to be before I stop this.”
Laughing, Robert commented: “Well, maybe they will, let’s see.”
“What a fascinating insight that,” Dan laughed back at the studio. “So he wants it locked before they get to Prince Harry. It’s probably a good thing!”
After saying goodbye to Robert and Angela, Dan turned to co-host Louise Minchin and commented: “It’s an interesting insight, isn’t it?”
“Yes, so do you think that’s power?” Louise asked.
“Maybe, well it’s on Netflix, he’s talking to Netflix. Does he have the power?”
Dan joked: “That’s probably why he has signed an agreement with Netflix if that happens. Sorry, I’m being taken away.
Speaking at a dinner for the Sentinel in London last night, Prince Harry said that his decision to step back with Meghan was ‘not made lightly.’
Harry explained, “For those reasons, it brings me great sadness that it has come to this.
“The decision that I made for my wife and I step back, one I have not made lightly.
“It was so many months of negotiation after so many years of challenges.
“And I know that I haven’t always got it right, but as far as it goes, there was another option.
“Do I want to clarify that we are not walking away, and we certainly are not walking away from you.”
