Fantastic 4: Rise of the Silver Surfer is now available to stream on Disney +

Fantastic 4 Movie

Fantastic 4: The Rise of the Silver Surfer is now officially streaming in the US on Disney + Originally released in 2006, the film is the sequel to the 2005 Fantastic 4 adaptation, with Ioan Gruffudd, Jessica Alba, Chris Evans, and Michael Chiklis own As the first family of miracles with the roles bursts. There was hope that the rise of the Silver Surfer might be an improvement from its severely maligned predecessor, but unfortunately, it was panned in the review. The rise of the Silver Surfer also performed poorly at the box office, grossing $ 249,000,000 worldwide against a $ 130,000,000 production budget. The series ended prematurely after only two installments due to that performance.

As many viewers probably know, the Fantastic 4 Miracle Properties was one of Fox’s film rights (along with X Men) for many years. Still, after Disney’s purchase of 20th Century Fox Entertainment Property, those The characters now come under the mouse home umbrella. There’s a lot of excitement surrounding the expected integration of the Fantastic 4 into the cinematic universe, although Fox’s Disney takeover means they are also back on the list. And, if fans feel so hooked, they can revisit those old cinematic adventures.

Customers in Disney + America now have the ability to stream the rise of Silver Surfer whenever they chose. As of this writing, that service itself is a Fox Miracle film. See a screenshot from the Disney + website in the space below:

The Disney + launch lineup is the strong primary reason that Disney was interested in buying Fox. Even before the purchase, the streaming service was set to have a rather deep library of titles for popular subsidiaries of Mouse House like Marvel, Lucasfilm, and Pixar. Still, Fox gives another advantage in Disney + Streaming Wars is. Several major Fox projects, including Avatar and Simpsons, are on service, with Disney portraying an interest in taking advantage of what Fox has to offer. It will be interesting to see if any of the other Fox Marvel films make their way to Disney +. Unlike the missing MCU and Star Wars films, the earlier Fantastic 4 and Fox X male films do not appear on the service’s search function, so whether they will be added or not remains a mystery for now.

The rise of the silver surfer probably won’t be anyone’s first choice when they want to stream a superhero movie on Disney +, but it could make for an entertaining watch on a rainy day. It has developed quite several secret comic book adaptations since this film was made. Although the 2000s saw mega-hits like Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man trilogy, it was still an era when the superhero genre was still trying to find its level, which led to some badly misguided efforts. The rise of the silver surfer now serves as a glimpse into the moment in history, when things like the MCU and Chris Evans as philanthropist Steve Rogers barely have an idea in mind. Hopefully, when Marvel does a Fantastic 4 reboot, the results are much better.
