The Boys Season 2: The boys have a very intriguing spin on a superhero comic that has been wonderfully executed by Eric Kripke. The show makes you feel connected with the story and feel sympathy for the characters almost immediately. However, it doesn’t ensure that the show is any less brutal in its graphic violence.
Since it’s release, the show has been one of the top-ranked series on Amazon and was therefore given the green light for Season 2 as soon as ratings came in for the first season.
Its excellent cast and impeccable plot made boys a hit instantly. A lot of aspects in season one will presumably form a base story for the second season. At the end of the season, we find Billy in a trapped situation, and the big question remains, will he be able to escape? If yes, then how? Another question that might be answered is, what is the drug that gives humans those superpowers? And why do they keep occurring so often? Madelyn Stillwell is dead, and it will be interesting to see what direction the story will take from thereon.
The show’s core characters are back on screen for Season 2. This means that the boys and seven of their eccentric leaders will be played by the same actors, Carl Urban, and Antoine Star, respectively. Giancarlo Esposito will be seen in season 2, with Mr. Edgar playing the role of CEO. Aya Cash will play a new character Stormfront, and a first look has been released for this. The actor will be a strong, strong woman. We expect a lot more casting details to be confirmed as we get closer to release.
As of now, there is no official date of release, but the show will drop sometime in 2020. Check out the teaser of The Boys Season 2 below.
