Octopus presented The Mask Singer judge and panel as part of The Little Mermaid hit track, Your World. The celebrity behind the mask is yet to be revealed, and it looks like they can compete in the ITV singing competition. Given some clues as to who they might be, chat show host Lorraine Kelly, 60, believes that All-Star, a contestant in this year’s Dancing on Ice line-up, can showcase her vocal abilities.
So far, the Octopus had performed only once and defeated Daisy when the pair went head-to-head in the first round of the competition.
The elusive figure will once again take to the stage this weekend to fight to maintain his identity.
Lorraine cast her vote as to who could be the aquatic contestant, talking about what tunes viewers could play on television this weekend.
Currently taking part in the Sunday night dance competition, the chat show host told 48-year-old Caprice Barrett that he could be the all-star behind the costume.
At this point, only the audience and judges have indicated that the Octopus is a female celebrity and is American.
Also, it is revealed that the contestant has spent time on the catwalk and prefers to participate in weight-training.
With projections at her disposal, Lorraine said that she could be under the Caprice mask, but could make a career in American accents and modelling.
The chat show host said: “I’m thinking Caprice. Probably. Because she’s a model,” she nods before accepting because she doesn’t have a clue.
While in the UK and participating in Dancing on Ice, the American model turned businessman into a celebrity with a secret singing talent?
By the estimates given, some viewers believed that bodybuilder and television personality, 41-year-old Jodie Marsh, could be an all-star hidden in costume.
However, the famous face, who is also a model, refused to steer herself when she posted about the show on Twitter.
Looking at his 564,700 followers, he wrote: “Apparently all of you must be watching something about singing and octopus?”
The bodybuilder continued: “Well I like the Octopus Garden by the Beatles a lot,” after admitting that he didn’t know what the show was that fans were talking about.
Others thought that Pussycat Doll and former Strictly Come Dancing on Ice star Ashley Roberts, 38, were mysterious figures.
Speaking on Heart Breakfast, after the first round of the competition, the pop star rejected the audience theories.
“I mean, I’ve had a crazy busy schedule lately. I love the dress. I mean, you know I like to dress up a little bit.”
Asked if she was an aquatic character or Daisy, she said: “I think you need to watch the show and don’t know?
“Don’t you?” not you !? I do not know who it is. I really do not.
With two celebrities from the running, could Lorraine’s theory about Caprice be correct, making her the star of two ITV reality shows?
So far only three masked singers have revealed their identities, as they failed to win around the studio audience and judges.
Butterfly The former EastEnders actress, 47-year-old Patsy Palmer, was disguised as a Pharaoh with 69-year-old former Home Secretary Alan Johnson.
44-year-old Dark House unveiled the latest Secret singer, Justin Hawkins, after his brother, 44, lost his chameleon.
The Saturday night show will see Octopus once again in a five-way fight with Daisy as well as Fox, Tree and Monster.
With another set exposed, who will remain impeccable and who will hide their identity?
