Nene Leakes from Real Housewives of Atlanta spending weeks in New York City and catching up with friends. Over the weekend, Bravo Starr met with co-stars Marlo Hampton and Betty Wendy Williams. The trio later mentions a shopping trip to Bergdorf Goodman. However, she revealed that the outing turned sour as she was being followed by security.
What did Wendy Williams say about the incident
In Monday’s episode of The Wendy Williams Show, the nominal TV host gave a recap of her shopping trip with Leake and Hampton.
“Nene sent his car. The car picked me up [, and] dropped me off in Bergdorf. The girls were waiting. Williams said on his talk show; it’s like a glamor suite they had in Bergdorf.” We one each Was salesgirl. We gave them all our sizes. They are bringing the goods … Nene bought a handful of gowns. Marlow charged a whole bunch of stuff.
Villains said they bought everything and even had lunch at the department store. That is when he noticed that security claims were following them.
“We didn’t just shop, we went upstairs and had lunch — the whole bit. The three of us take over. And can I tell you something about security? He claimed he gave us the ‘hood’ Treat them like they treat us. “You can earn what you want, what you want, but when you are what you are doing, you better understand how people treat you. I am not surprised. We were followed like we were about to do something.
What Nene Leakes remembered about the shopping trip
After Williams told his story, the Breakfast Club asked Leek about the shopping trip. The RHOA star remembers her experience much different than what the daytime talk show host said during her “hot topics” section.
“I was there, but I didn’t see it like how he saw it, I didn’t see it like how Marlo saw it,” she said. “I saw security, but I just thought that security was just there, I don’t know.”
Leakes also said that he bought something immediately when he spoke in the store Villains.
“I feel like she and Marlo were playing a little in the store, like playing around Hans,” Leakes continued. “Marlow mentioned it to me; she said, ‘Do you know that security has been following us since we’ve been here? I said, really? I didn’t pay any attention to them, and Marlow said,’ I think That they are just fascinated.
Bergdorf Goodman reacts to Wendy Williams’ claims
Bergdorf Goodman issued a statement after news of Williams visiting a plush department store.
“Bergdorf Goodman and its parent company Neiman Marcus Group are committed to ensuring that all shoppers, guests, and employees are treated with dignity and dignity in a safe and secure shopping environment,” read the statement obtained by the condition. “Our policies strictly prohibit the profiling of any kind, and any claims will be thoroughly investigated.”
Wendy Williams clarified the incident
In Wednesday’s episode of The Wendy Williams Show, the nominal host recalled the story and filled in the missing parts to illustrate the incident. Villians said he had not been to that department store in 20 years because of an event earlier.
“They immediately took me to the big girl department, and I felt intense security around me in this store. I said, ‘Not only do I not like this neighborhood, [but I also] don’t like this shop, I am not going back there. “I hadn’t been back there in 20 years,” he said of his prior incident at the Villains shop.
“Two of my girlfriends from out of town wanted to go there. We meet for the shop … a different atmosphere. I didn’t feel any warm breath on my neck. We were each of our own salesmen. They said, we had lunch. Dined, shopped, behaved really well.
Although he does not mention her by name, Leakes said that it was Hampton who mentioned that he was after protection. Williams said it happened while they were saying goodbye and leaving the store.
“One of them says, ‘You know we were chased the whole time. Williams continued, this part I left out of my story.” A lot of you said,’ well, if Wendy You were stalked, why did you buy anything? I knew nothing about him. Some people have their eyes on that kind of stuff. This is just a natural thing when you are producing brown. I am smart enough to understand when I have been treated decently. This is the story; I did not feel any of that, [and] I did not see any of the following. “
