A new fan poster of Fantastic Four imagines Silver Surfer in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Produced by Jack Kirby, Silver Surfer made its debut in 1979. A humanoid with metallic skin, the Silver Surfer has the ability to travel through space thanks to a craft that resembles a surfboard. The character regularly ranks among the most fabulous comic book creations of all time, combining his unique mode of transportation with a heavy load that unites his portrayal with the likes of Batman and Spider-Man. However, despite their popularity and longevity, Silver Surfer is not depicted in live-action adaptations with much frequency. His appearance in a notable live-action film, as part of Fantastic Four: The Rise of the Silver Surfer, was ultimately an unsuccessful attempt to find a spinoff solo film.
In recent years, there has been renewed interest in bringing silver surfers to the big screen. It was announced, back in February 2014, that writer Brian Kay Vaughan was working on a script for a film centered around an iconic miracle character. Big Short and Vice Director Adam McKay have also expressed interest in directing the Silver Surfer Adoption. While there remains speculation about the project, a new fan poster by Erathrim, Miracle Giants finally imagines making its appearance in the MCU.
Given its long history, a silver surfer would have a lot of potential dangers to pull on the film. Although she has not been a factor in many films, Silver Surfer has played a role in many animated works over the decades. This character has also stood firm in the Marvel video game. It may be the case that Silver Surfer’s design and backstory lend themselves better to some mediums over others. Still, the MCU has shown itself quite capable of pulling off unexpected successes like the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise.

Silver Surfer is only one of the characters that fans would like to see in the MCU. The X-Men, Excalibur, and Deadpool have all received their own fantasy posters. It is almost a guarantee that these famous personalities will eventually be folded into the MCU, although it may not happen anytime soon.
